Nutrition education at Sprouts goes beyond lessons; it’s integrated into our daily activities. We engage children in preparing healthy snacks and meals using fresh produce from our garden. We’ve noticed that when children are involved in the cooking process, they become more adventurous eaters and develop a positive relationship with food. Additionally, we embrace cultural food education by exploring diverse cuisines and the stories behind them. Children learn about the cultural significance of various foods, fostering appreciation for diversity and encouraging conversations about their own traditions and family meals. This holistic approach not only promotes healthier eating habits but also enriches their understanding of the world around them.
